Our brand new Wednesday night classes have begun and we have an amazing group! The first class started of with some introductions and a fun group warm up before getting stuck into "The Long Wait", an original by teacher Maryanne Smart, and learning some body percussion with "What do I do" by Lanie Lane. Excellent job guys!
Northern Voices Choir is a fun, no pressure choir that anyone can join! Cate and Maryanne, the energetic and friendly duo behind the choir, started the choir purely for the joy of singing together and sharing music. We are always looking for new members so if you've ever thought of giving it a try, get in touch!
The crew at Northern Voices are absolutely delighted to offer a second night of classes, you can now choose either Monday night OR Wednesday night! Please note that we will be working on different material, so please choose the night that will work best.
Term 3 starts on Monday 11th July, at a brand new location, Candyland Warehouse, 224 Normanby Avenue Thornbury. Please contact us for any further inquiries.
Our choir has grown in numbers this term and we were delighted with the turn out at this term's performance night! The wonderful choir performed three songs including an original written by Maryanne, one of our choir directors, and an awesome a Capella version of Lordes's Royals.
Friends and family braved the cold Melbourne night to come and show their support and were mightily impressed with the performance. Well done to everyone and we hope to see you again in term three for some brand new tunes! x C&M

Although we sometimes provide sheet music, we much prefer to learn all our songs by ear. This engages us more with the song and allows our focus to be on the group sound rather than reading notes on the sheet. We also like to talk about what the lyrics mean and connect with the message of the song.
Cate and I are absolutely psyched to start term 1 for 2016. We've got some cracking tunes ready and our vocal chords all ready to sing the night away!
Term 1 enrolments are still open! If you'd like to be part of Northern Voices, enrol now.
