Jade and Maryanne are thrilled to have obtained our level 1 and 2 accreditation in the Estill Vocal training method. We underwent a fantastic and informative course run by the amazing Jenny Caire over the term 3 break and we are hyped to bring all of our new knowledge back to the choir and get stuck into some new tunes!
We are well versed in the voice qualities and can identify and assist with a range of vocal issues, so if you have any questions come up to us after practice and we'll be happy to chat!
A huge congratulations to Northern Voices co-director Cate de Carteret and long time northies member Paul Spurling on the arrival of Thomas William Spurling. Cate and Paul might be taking a wee break from the choir this term but Maryanne, Jade and the rest of the crew are firing on all cylinders and term four is set to be a ripper!
From all of us at Northies, congratulations and lots of love! Xx
Term 4 begins in earnest on Wednesday 5th October and we've got some smashing new songs ready to go along with some fun favourites.

Our brand new Wednesday night classes have begun and we have an amazing group! The first class started of with some introductions and a fun group warm up before getting stuck into "The Long Wait", an original by teacher Maryanne Smart, and learning some body percussion with "What do I do" by Lanie Lane. Excellent job guys!
